New Layout to Main School Building

Since 2016 An Roinn Oideachais agus Scileanna has allocated two separate grants for the completion of a major upgrade to the facilities at the school. These changes involve the demolition of the existing Wheelchair accessible toilet adjacent to Halla na Scoile and the construction of a link corridor to access the three classrooms at the pitch side. This corridor will in turn join onto the existing corridor between the staffroom and Halla. To the left of this corridor  will be built a new wheelchair accessible toilet and a new staff toilet.Adjacent to the two toilets we will lay out the base for a new stationery storeroom cum teachers  office.

The project will be completed by a covered walkway between both  buildings crossing the existing paved courtyard area. This upgrade will enable all children to access the hall without going through the yard. Our architects would hope to appoint a contractor before the summer  and have the work completed by the end of 2019.The 135 pupils on roll( we had only  68 pupils on roll in 2006)  is a record number for Listerlin and we thank the community for your continued support. We also have to point out that approximately 1.2 million euro has  been spent upgrading the school in the last two decades. The revised floorplan is laid out in the link below.
